Smart Moves

The Smart Moves series began on Commute Orlando in 2008. These posts highlight patterns in traffic a savvy cyclist can take advantage of to make bicycling easy and enjoyable.

Vantage in the Queue

The cars facing us in the left lane on southbound Primrose are turning left onto Colonial. Those drivers want to make the light, so they’re looking for the first opportunity to dash across — creating the potential for a left cross.

CyclingSavvy offers more Smart Moves, online and in person.

What began right here on Commute Orlando evolved into a national cycling education program in 2010. The CyclingSavvy program, now run by the American Bicycling Education Association, headquartered here in Orlando, offers training in both safety measures and unique strategies for getting maximum utility and enjoyment from your bike travels.
