A great night for an ice cream ride

Wow! Big turnout for the Commute Orlando Ice Cream Ride last Friday. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and the company was pretty spectacular, too. Twenty-two of us departed from the Cady Way Trailhead at Fashion Square Mall a little after 7 pm. We meandered through quiet neighborhoods on the way to Mead Gardens. From the front, I could hear laughter and chatter. I love that about social rides! From Mead Gardens, we took Orange Avenue to Rollins Street and crossed Mills Ave. to Rose Isle. Folks out for an evening stroll waved, which we acknowledged with a chorus of bike bells. We ended up at Delish in Baldwin Park and were greeted by family members of several riders. Thanks to Diana for organizing the ride and providing bandanas for all participants. So glad to see some new faces. We hope you’ll join us on future rides.

I would like to thank the talented 13 year old, Maia, for personalizing the bandanas for us. (I operated a child labor sweat-shop in the parking lot before the ride.) Lisa took us on a lovely scenic, relaxing ride, followed by a frozen indulgence, and it was a great way to end the work week and kick off the weekend.
