First Friday Ride/ New Starting Place

Hope to see you at the First Friday Ride this week!

We will have a new starting place, directly across Princeton Street from our usual meet-up place.  (The road that crosses Princeton Street there is Elgin Road.)  We’ll be in the south part of the Loch Haven Park. You can’t miss it.

It has been difficult to get a large number of riders out of Loch Haven for a left turn onto Princeton, because it’s a very short signal light. By starting our group ride on the south side, we can make the right turn more quickly and keep the group together.

Should be a nice summer evening, so fill up your water bottle and come kick off your weekend with an urban bike ride! See you there.

I won’t be able to make this First Friday Ride. I’ll be in Colorado to attend a Davis Phinney Foundation event in conjunction with the Copper Triangle Alpine Classic Ride. Had to decline an invitation to ride – 78 miles, crossing three mountain peaks over 10,000 ft. and 6,800 ft. elevation gain was a bit “out of my league”. Have a great ride. Plan to join you all next month. John
