Save the world. Park a bike.

Bike/Walk Central Florida is sending out an all points bulletin for all intelligent lifeforms within blog shot. We need a few good men (and women) to help us staff the Bike Valet at the Earth Day celebration at Lake Eola. Major thanks to Cesar Cesareo of the Tour de Cure, who has agreed to loan us some bike racks, and to Andrew Harrell, who has pledged time and talent to help transport the equipment to and from the site. Thanks, as well, to the inimitable Anna McCambridge and my lovely wife Darlyn Kuhn, for already taking up the cause. We sure could use another ten volunteers to put in an hour or two, babysitting bikes and helping us spread the word about pedestrian safety. What a great way to save the world and help your community at the same time — a karmic twofer! Shoot me an email c/o brad@floridabicycle.org to let me know what hours you are available to help. Thanks!

Brad, I stopped by WPHF today and picked up about 40 of the Active Fun bike route maps for you to give away.
