Flowers, herbs and trees… on bikes
This morning, Lisa, Diana and I rode to the Leu Gardens plant sale. This is the only day of the year the on-street parking on Corrine Dr. is full. People will end up parking nearly a mile away and walking to this event. But bikes go right in.
It’s a really fun event. Leu Gardens is a beautiful place and you can find super values on plants.
I live in a condo with a postage-stamp porch, but I did buy some more herbs. Diana bought a banana tree and some herbs. Lisa bought an olive tree, flowers, herbs, blackberries and a blueberry bush. Here is a little slide show of photos from the morning:
It is a beautiful day to be outside, and to be on a bike! I’ve spent the day getting a new composter, transferring compost from the old to the new, and trying my hand at building an herb spiral. If I have any energy left, I’m hitting OBT just for the fun of it (oxymoron, I know, but I’m used to it).
Looks like you had a great time; the photos are beautiful! You had to love sailing past that “Lot Full” sign!
I hear the running price for parking at the winter park art festival is $7. I chose the mostly shady 5 mile route. Someone did steal my usual parking hitch in front of the cigar shop, but thats ok. I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks this way.
Go green! Bicycles that supply their own oxygen!!
