Central Florida Earth Day April 24th — Free Bike Parking!!

Anyone who is planning on cycling over to the Central Florida Earth Day Celebration at Lake Eola Park (Saturday April 24th), please note that the Rusted Chain Bicycle Collective (RCBC) will be hosting a free Bike Valet service!

What’s a Bike Valet service you ask?  Well, it means a secure place that you can have your bicycle safely parked and watched while you enjoy the day.  A “Bike Corral” is built and staffed with folks who will park your bike and give you a ticket that will match a ticket taped to your bike.  All you do is drop off your bike and get your ticket.  Come back when you want, present your ticket, and your bike will be delivered to you.  The best part is that it’s all free! (donations always appreciated, of course).

Last year we had great success with the Bike Valet service at the VegFest Festival at Lock Haven Park.  We parked close to 100 bikes that day … and this time we’re hoping for even a bigger turnout!

I will personally be there for some, if not all of the day helping out the RCBC folks … if you are interested in helping out, just let me know.

Hope to see you there — on bike of course!!    🙂
