No, really!
In today’s Orlando Sentinel Calendar section is a PSA with a graphic of a Share the Road sign. The text: “Did You Know? By Florida Law, bicycles are vehicles and have the same right of way to the roadway.”
Okay, the wording was a bit awkward, but the message was still nice to see.

Your first jpg is on the right track, but it lacks a little civility & “snap.” Please insert a “please” at the start of that sign, and dump the “allowed” and “of” which are a bit extraneous. Thanks.

Say “please” to some folks and they think you are asking permission rather than being polite in stating the law.
The sign is based upon national standards which were argued about endlessly for over 10 years. Take it up with the national standards board.
The national standards are automatically adopted in Florida per the legislature.

If you’ll note the URL in the sign, you’ll soon see that it’s not mine. I don’t know of any other legal signs that have the word please in them.

Share the Road is fine as slogan, phrase and program but Bicycle May Use Full Lane cuts thur the crap.Yeah get over it, that right.

Toronto busses used to have a “Please Yield” sign on them. Then the province changed the law to make yielding right-of-way to a bus a legal requirement with hefty penalties for those who disobeyed.
This meant that the “Please Yield” signs were replaced with “Yield” signs. The “Please” was dropped.
