Saturday Rides for Slow Cyclists Like Me
During the week, I run errands, but Saturday rides are the best. I don’t like riding with others, but sometimes I need a little direction. So if you want to have a nice ride and learn a little something, I suggest you try one of these rides.
The link may only be good for a month. I will come back and edit this post once I know the new link.
Steve Rajtar has spent a great deal of time setting up these Historic Hiking Trails where you ride a few blocks, stop to look and read about what you are looking at and then move on in the direction he tells you to move. I’ve done several of these and have really enjoyed them. They are not terribly long, you don’t have to keep up with the paceline and you can learn something about Central Florida.
Just don’t expect to get any exercise out of them. Don’t worry about your heart rate. That ain’t the point.

Just getting out there and pedaling around is exercise. And sadly still more than most people get.
I’ll have to check these rides out. I’m keenly interested in history riding and I try to get in some weekend excursions as often as I can.
