“Can I use the left side?”
“Alligators move to the side of the road when a sign installer approaches.”
“This message brought to you by Gator-Aid”
“This road needs a bike lane to protect cyclists.”
Not a caption: If that sign was written in pidgen english, it would make a perfect “Pearls Before Swine” cartoon strip.
“…however, take the lane to maintain a dominant position in the food chain.”
FORGET the caption, we want a link to a high-res version of the photo!
OK, how about, “but keep off the grass.”
That’s the imaginary law that I get accused of breaking all the time!
I’m curious where the sign was spotted and what moron thinks they can capriciously overturn state law.
…becuz alligators LOVE to eat gutter bunnies!
“More proof that far to the right laws are for motorist convenience, not cyclist safety.”

It’s on federal land; specifically Shark Valley Road in the Everglades. (“We’re from the US Government; we’re here to help.”)
(So far I like PM’s caption best.)
Also notice the little signs on posts. I’m guessing they’re information on species found in the pond.
Or warning signs about alligators.
The ambush of the gutter bunnies
“bike lanes will protect the cyclist like everywhere else: link“
…approaches: feeding of gators encouraged.
In voice bubble from one ‘gater to another: “That sign was brilliant, Fred!”
This was so good I just cross-posted it on my own site!
COLORED ROAD USERS
Move to the side of the road when a white driver approaches.
Who gets credit for taking this photo?
Serge asked: “Who gets credit for taking this photo?”
I wish I knew. Seems it’s one of those things that loses the attribution as it gets forwarded around.
“Just when you thought there were no more rights to take away from cyclists…”
“Please, no more stinky bikers. Let’s have chicken tonight.”
go ahead, pass me on the right, see if i care…
“As the peloton approaches the Tour de Florida feed zone, special ‘alligator musette bags’ await the riders.”
Normally FTR means Far To Right, but in Florida it means:
Feed The Reptiles!
