Time to unfold those little folding bikes and put some air in their tiny tires.

We’re having another foldie fun ride!

Date: Friday, July 19, 2013

Time: 7:00 PM

Where: meet up in the Cady Way Trail parking lot on the east side of Orlando Fashion Square

Details: This will be a fun ride at a relaxed, social pace. Distance around 10-12 miles.

This ride will feature folding bikes and mini-velos, but you can ride whatever type of bike you wish. Even recumbents!

Mini-velos, of course!

We have some special things planned for this ride, so you won’t want to miss it.  Of course, July weather in Central Florida can have its dramatic moments, but unless there’s an active thunderstorm overhead, we will ride.

Cult classic, vintage Raleigh Twentys? You bet!

  1. I sure hope the weather holds out for us! I’m ready to do this ride on my own folder now!!

  2. I originally bought my foldie, a Dahon Speed 8, for taking train trips to Tampa to visit my parents. It’s considered a carry-on and is awesome for train as regular bicycles require “bike boxes” and have to be disassembled to fit. But now I find it convenient to go to work, shopping, even the movies at the mall. FOLDIES RULE!

    • Hope you can bring that sweet Dahon and come ride with us!

      • It’s 19 miles from my house in Chuluota to the start of the ride, which would put me over 50 miles for the evening. I’m not yet ruling it out, but I’ve never gone that far on my foldie – usually just one way to Winter Park Amtrak then one way back the next evening.
