Going to the Sun

Mighk, Lisa & I are in Montana. The vacation part is ending (sorta). Tomorrow we’re off to Helena to teach a CyclingSavvy class, attend an education conference and do a bicycling audit. I don’t have time to write much, but thought I’d share some photos from our epic climb up to Logan Pass on Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park. We climbed 16 miles and about 3,500ft to the pass. It was way more spectacular than can be shown in photos.

  1. Wow, great photos!

Brings back memories of the summer of 1970 when I “went to the sun” on my solo New York City to Oregon coast bike ride.

This makes me want to do it again. Maybe a 50th anniversary ride in 2020?

    Enjoy Bike Sky Country!

  2. A tandem bike – cool. Looks like lots of fun was had by all!

    • Mighk needs a stoker to get him up the hills.

  3. Very nice! Makes me miss my Blue Ridge Mountains! Thanks for sharing, looks like a great time. 🙂

  4. No photos show on my iPad. Well, except for the thumbnail of Gary and the ones at the bottom of the page. 🙁

    • The highly hyped ipad doesn’t do flash. I still think that HTML5 is a ways off. You could try the Skyfire browser, but people have reported mixed results.

  5. I have got to visit Montana! Beautiful photos Keri! 🙂
