Destination: Earth Day – Bike Valet

Don’t forget, RCBC is running a free Bike Valet at Earth Day Celebration at Lake Eola tomorrow. IMO, driving a bike is the best way to get to downtown Orlando on an average day. It’s no contest when there is an event. You do not want to try to park a car downtown tomorrow! And downtown Orlando is one of the easiest places to ride a bike (see here). So, here is a map with a few routes to get you started. The map is public, please add your routes.

Sorry, I’m too slammed to elaborate, I just wanted to get this up. But don’t hesitate to ask for route advice!

I’d like to go there, but unfortunately, I haven’t mastered my ability to balance my bike (I’m able to get a good fit for my single-speed cruiser bike). :(

Plan to check it out and visit Andrew at the Bike Valet.

I didn’t see the Bike Valet mentioned on the Earth Day website. May have missed it. Nevertheless, if ya’ll let me know in advance when there’s a bike valet at an event, I’ll crank up my PR machine to get a mention on the event website and in other venues.

I arrived about 3pm and used the bike valet – very smooth! They gave me a ticket and secured it in a roped off area. It’s a nice feeling not to have to worry about any of my bike accessories being swiped.
