Probably not in the curriculum, or part of the usual radar gun certification to be zapping a bike. Anecdote: my first wife and I were on our tandem recumbent (back-to-back) heading south. Cop in bushes, probably bored, pops us with gun from a reasonable distance. I checked my speedo and read 18 mph (calibrated pretty closely) and he shouted 21 mph as we passed. Cadence of 100 rpm at the time equates to 3 mph over ground and the pedals were the most forward and most reflective (non-rounded) surface, so I figure the pedals plus the bike means an inaccurate radar figure. With my 140mm cranks I can rip out nearly 200 rpm, so any radar reading will really be inaccurate, especially downhill. I'm looking forward to hearing of Keri's experience.
