At this month’s BPAC meeting:
Ms. Sara Isaac of Salter>Mitchell Inc. will present the results of social marketing research on attitudes towards bicycling and walking in Winter Park, Maitland and Eatonville. This research was conducted for Florida Bicycle Association under a grant from the Winter Park Health Foundation.
Think Act Be
This initiative was conceived in December 2007 with a call for ideas from the Winter Park Health Foundation. The Foundation asked ordinary citizens for ideas to change both physical and social structures in the community to encourage healthier and more active lifestyles. It was chosen for funding last December.
During this past year, a coalition of citizens, advocates and law enforcement have worked with Salter>Mitchell to study the roots of social behavior on our roads and come up with a plan to encourage civility and cooperation.
