Depends ….. if there are no flashing lights or indentifying shirts, etc, then they will get a few. Like we all do ….
I bet they get lots, if they are unmarked, as Andrew noted… perhaps that’s how police should be educated in bike safety! Have them ride! Then they may not “Have It Wrong” (see andrewp’s recent post) for long!

In OPD’s training program, they ride in double pace lines on major roads, but they have POLICE written across the back of their shirts. I think they should do that exercise in flashy lycra and spandex and see if there’s a difference
Since we probably can’t ride with a jersey that says “POLICE” on it, here is another suggestion:

Chip, we cannot ride in jerseys that say “Police”, but we could get the same color jerseys and have “Polite” put on them, in the same font….
