Gear up for Education – The Worlds Largest Bicycle Parade.

Kaley Elementary School will have a Guinness World Record Attempt to have the world’s largest bicycle parade.  Details and registration form can be found by clicking here.

March 14, 2009 is the date, and Cady Way trail head @ Fashion Square Mall is the beginning of this epic 2.5 mile parade and GWR attempt.  You can pre-register by submitting the form before March 6, 2009 or register the day of the attempt from 07:30-08:30am.

Parade assembly is from 08:00-08:45 and parade will start at 09:00am.  This is a rain or shine event.

    I’m not quite sure how a bicycle “parade” differs from a regular event ride. The “record” is only about 1,900. We of course know of many annual rides bigger than that.

    Nevertheless, it’s a worthy event and sounds like a good excuse to get a non-cycling friend or relative out on two wheels.
