Cyclists are known for raising money for all kinds of great causes — Cancer, Diabetes and MS Research, the Boys and Girls Club, Bikes for Kids, etc. Now we have a chance to raise money for something near and dear to us — motorist education.

How many chances do you get to win a bike, wheels and money all while raising motorist awareness about cyclists?

Local cyclists, Mary Shanklin and Carol Stevens, have put together an extraordinary off-bike event to raise money to advertise the 3-foot law on the back of Lynx buses. Our community of Central Florida cyclists has responded with enthusiasm. This promises to be a lot of fun!

Saturday, May 24
4-7 p.m.
Winter Park Bowl America

Teams of four or five will compete. The top scorer wins $100.

Even if you don’t have a team, come and watch the mass lack of eye-hand coordination.

You can win a raffle for a set of Bontrager race wheels or a Trek Soho commuter bike, which have been donated by David’s World Cycle. Raffle tickets are $1 or 6 for $5.

To register a team, contact Carol Stevens.

See you there!
